Government and policy contributions In from 2002. Most recently I participated in a Federal Government focus group reviewing Medicare and Allied Health services, providing practitioner-level insights into how exercise physiology is accessed and funded in community settings. More recently, I provided case study and review information for Exercise & Sport Science Australia (ESSA) into the current Federal Government review of the NDIS — documenting real patient outcomes to inform how disability exercise programs are structured and resourced nationally. I have also provided paid content on the use of digital health tools for the Australasian Institute of Digital Health ito use in a media campaign focusing on how I use digital tools in my work.
I was also a contributing author of a health and fitness resource published by the Victorian Government Department of Natural Resources in 2002, now known as DECCA.
Community health in Melbourne’s west is important to me. From 2016 to 2025, I was actively involved in community health programs through the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation, contributing to the Sons of the West and Daughters of the West programs through their Clinical Governance committee — working with people in Melbourne’s west on health, wellbeing and community connection at the Wyndham and Hobson Bay locations. I have also presented on health and lifestyle topics for Wyndham City Council, bringing evidence-based exercise guidance to local residents across the Wyndham area.
Why I practise independently? I run ExHealth as a solo practice by choice. Every patient gets me — not a junior clinician, not a rotating roster. I know your history, I notice when something changes, and I’m accountable for your outcomes in a way that’s harder to maintain in a larger clinic. Working out of Symmetry Physiotherapy gives me the best of both: the resources and relationships of a highly skilled and professional Allied Health practice, with the continuity and personal investment of a solo clinician.
